About Me

Violist Adie Cannon has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in twelve U.S. states and several countries spanning North America and Europe.  She has participated in music festivals including Interharmony International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy; the Karen Tuttle Viola Workshop; Rocky Ridge Summer Music Camp; New York Summer Music Festival (from whom she received their Full Scholarship Award in 2009), among others.

Adie began her teaching career in 2010 as a sectional coach through Tucson Jr. Strings, a youth orchestra and training program, of which she is an alumni. Ms. Cannon has since been invited as a guest clinician for a number of school orchestra programs in the Tucson area, as well as a violin instructor through Tucson Summer Music. She has since invested in growing her own music studio.

Ms. Cannon holds a B.M. in Viola Performance from the University of Arizona's "Fred Fox" School of Music, where she performed as a violist in the Arizona Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Philharmonic, Arizona Contemporary Ensemble, as well as numerous chamber ensembles. She is currently studying with Prof. Hong-Mei Xiao while pursuing her Master's of Music degree in Viola Performance from the University of Arizona.
